Workshop:
RUBBER STAMP CARVING WORKSHOP
November 14, 2019

November 14, 2019

Maker General

Nov. 14, 6:30-8:30
DESCRIPTION: Join us and Hannah Hazel, owner of Boulder-based rubber stamp company Blue Grama Stamps, for an evening session where you’ll learn the ins and outs of carving your own rubber stamps. With the holidays approaching, stamps are perfect for decorating scrapbooks, greeting cards, gift tags, journaling, and more. Let’s get cozy and carve stamps together!

WHAT TO EXPECT: We’ll go over the basics including tools and materials, cutting and layering techniques, word stamps, and creating your own stamp designs from templates or freestyle. No prior experience necessary! The workshop will provide a chance to get creative in a safe, encouraging atmosphere with ample time to carve at least two stamps by the end of the night.

WHAT TO BRING: All tools needed will be provided. However, you're welcome to bring simple designs that you might want to make into stamps (Hannah might discourage over-complicated designs if you’re a beginner). There is a slight possibility of ink finding its way onto your clothes, so please wear appropriate clothing. Bring a friend, make a friend!

COST: $50 per student. Must be at least 14 years old.
